What we collect, what we do not, and why the free tools collect nothing at all.

01

The short version

The free tools on this site process your input entirely inside your browser. Whatever you paste into a tool is never transmitted to us, never written to a server, and never stored anywhere outside your own device.

For the paid products we hold only what is needed to run an account: your email address, your settings, and the request or check data you deliberately send us.

02

The free tools

No account is required and none is offered. We do not read, log or retain the text, files, tokens or JSON you paste into a tool. The transformation runs in JavaScript on your machine.

You can confirm this yourself: open your browser developer tools, switch to the network tab, and use any tool on the site. No request is made while you type.

03

Analytics

We measure page views in aggregate so we know which tools are worth building next. This is limited to the page visited, the referring site, and a coarse country-level location. It is not tied to an identity and it is not sold or shared.

We do not run advertising, and we do not embed third-party advertising or social tracking scripts.

04

Cookies

The free tools set no tracking cookies. A single local preference may be stored in your browser to remember your theme choice; it never leaves your device.

Signing in to a paid product sets an essential session cookie. It exists only to keep you logged in and is removed when you sign out.

05

Paid product data

The webhook debugger stores the requests sent to the endpoints you create, and the uptime monitor stores the results of the checks you configure. You choose the retention period; anything older is deleted automatically.

You can export or delete this data at any time from your account, and deleting your account removes it in full.

06

Service providers

We use a transactional email provider to deliver account and alert emails, and a payment processor to handle subscriptions. They receive only what their job requires: an email address, and for payments the billing details you enter with them directly. We never see or store your card number.

07

Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, request a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to privacy@byteschunk.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
